Amidst the disparity of women in the middle east, CDC Holdings, Inc. and Quadrillion Realty Investments President Melesa “Elsie “ Chua was still able to put up her real estate business in that part of the globe. Mrs. Chua is now distinguished as the first Filipina businesswoman licensed to establish a business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, specifically, in Jeddah.
Mrs. Chua aims to be of assistance to the Overseas Filipino Workers in the Middle East whose dream includes a home that they can proudly call their own. She openly explains that she never thought of founding a business there. But everything was made possible through the invitation of the Sheik whom she met in Manila back in 2007.
“All of the things that I’m doing in the Middle East are not merely for business sake. It’s actually a dream for me to be able to extend my hand to OFWs in acquiring their dream homes”, said Mrs. Chua. She started making their dreams come true during Christmas of 2007. With the help of a bank, she initiated a raffle with a house and lot in la Joya de Sta. Rosa as a grand prize.
“I come here to deal with them personally so I could show and explain to them [OFWs] the benefits they could get if they invest in properties in the Philippines”, added Chua who in fact established a partnership with the PAG-IBIG Program so OFWs could purchase their house in the lightest possible way.
Aside from her real estate business, Mrs. Chua is also looking forward to bringing her Melawares business there. Melawares is the Philippines’ largest manufacturer of melamine products.
Apart from Saudi, Mrs. Chua also established offices in Doha, Qatar and Dubai. Interested OFWs may visit CDC Holdings, Inc office at Samariah, Tahlia near Sarawat International Market.
